Straw-yellow colour with golden reflections. A fruit-forward wine with an array of tropical fruits and spicy notes, accompanied by the typical scent of roses. On the palate, it has a lush sweetness, complemented by a juicy acidity to keep it in balance. It has a long finish with hints of ripe fruit and spices.

Backdropped by the Dolomites and Alps and nestled on the borders of Austria and Switzerland, Alto Adige —also known as the South Tyrol – is a stunning spot and a fantastic wine region. Alto Adige is blessed with a diverse and rich landscape, with various microclimates, exceptional soil composition and vineyards grown on slopes with different inclinations, at multiple altitudes and exposures. As a result, the wines produced here have a strong identity.
Catina Tramin is the backbone of one of Alto Adige’s oldest cooperatives, founded in 1898. Today, it comprises 160 families tending approximately 270 hectares of vineyards, producing an average of 1.9 million bottles per year, and is among the first Alto Adige coops to meet the challenges of sustainable agriculture.
Tramin is the cradle of Gewürztraminer, which has been cultivated here for more than a thousand years. The vines grow at medium-high elevations (around 300m to 450m for this wine), facing south/southeast for best exposure to the sun, and benefit from significant diurnal temperature swings with hot, sunny days and cool, breezy nights – the ideal environment for developing its distinctive, intense aromas.
