The history of Maison Vincent Girardin is relatively recent. Born into a family that had been growing vines since the 17th century, Vincent had an ambition to produce his own wine from an early age. He decided to strike out on his own in 1980, and began producing wine from two hectares of vines that he had inherited from his parents.
The quality of his wines was quickly recognised internationally, and this enabled him to expand his activity, focusing primarily on the great white and red wines of the Côte de Beaune. The grapes for this wine come from Rully village, in the north of the Côte Chalonnaise between Mercurey and Santenay.
