AIX Rosé, Aix-en-Provence, 2021

With mineral-rich soils, 300 days of sun a year and cooling Mistral winds, Provence offers the ideal growing conditions for Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault grapes, the classic blend used to make AIX Rosé. Maison Saint Aix is one of the largest domaines in the AOP Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation. At 420m above sea level, it’s also one of the highest, which means cooler nights and a greater Mistral effect, drying the vines on dewy mornings – making the fruit even better. The backbone of the wine is 50- to 60-year-old Grenache vines. A perennial award-winner, the AIX 2022 vintage is no exception, racking up a slew of gold medals in international competitions.
