Alain Paret Wines was first established in 1972, 50km south of Lyon. The vineyard is planted on sloping, uneven hillsides and this difficult terroir is reflected in the character of the wines. Today the winery is managed by Anthony Paret, son of the founder, a skilled winemaker, continuing the work of his father with both passion and respect, abiding by her fathers wise words “only quality is rewarded, we cannot disappoint, we must excel ourselves every time.” The estate’s strength has always been its award-winning St. Joseph and Condrieu wines, but also straight Syrah and Viognier, in particular the Côtes du Rhône vineyard, Valvigneyre which, being from North Rhône is 100% Syrah.
This cuvée is established on the base of several côteaux, benefiting from a climate peculiar from the Côtes du Rhône. This wine has been rigorously selected, its allow us to get a shimmering wine rich and full of aromas. In the vineyards only organic fertilizers are used to control the foliage, soils are deep, full of pebbles, granite with large crystals, clay sand. Manual selective harvest.
