A benchmark example of clean, fresh, pure Chablis made by one of the most important producers in the region. A joy to drink!
4 in stock (can be backordered)
The Durup family – under the directorship of Jean Durup’s son, Jean-Paul – are the largest private landowners in Chablis. Based in Maligny, they now have some 155 hectares under vine.
The resulting wines are always benchmark examples of clean, fresh, pure Chablis. They drink very well young, but older bottles of their Premier Cru wines attest to their excellent potential to improve with age.
The Petits Chablis of the estates are produced on a little over twenty hectares. The vines representative of this appellation have an average age of 25 to 30 years. This is a pleasant, fresh wine, with a distinctive minerality and floral aromas. It has a good attack accompanied by an aromatic persistence in the mouth that is important for this appellation. It will be very good on its own as an aperitif or with cold meats, seafood, fish or dry goat cheeses.
