A good value, flavoursome South African Rhône-style blend. Smoky black plum and cranberry, with peppery spice. Rich, with persistent yet supple tannins, balanced by refreshing acidity – a multi-layered wine. Excellent with a hearty stew or leg of venison.

Sitting on the slopes of the Bottelary Hills, Stellenbosch, with panoramic views of Table Mountain, Table Bay and False Bay, Zevenwacht is a modern, family-owned estate with a 300-year history. Influenced by its proximity to the ocean and the cooling South-Easter wind, Zevenwacht makes distinctive terroir-driven wines with great fruit purity and elegance.
The Tin Mine Red is a Rhône-style blend of 56% Shiraz, 31% Mourvedre and 13% Grenache (AKA a GSM blend) – grapes that are well suited to the warm dry climate here. The different components were aged for 12 to 16 months in French oak barrels before blending.
