Finca Agostino is the story of four brothers: Vincenzo, Rosalía, Sebastian and Miguel Agostino, who lived their childhood in Mendoza before settling with their family in Canada in the sixties. The memory of Mendoza remained in their minds as the land of their childhood; a period of their lives shared with their grandfather Sebastiano, surrounded by the vineyards in which he worked as a “contractor vintner”. In 2003 they returned to Mendoza to make their dream come true. It is in Barrancas, Maipú, where a new chapter of their story begins, and where, day by day, they build their legacy: the wines of Finca Agostino. To ensure his wine tastes as expected, technology plays a key role in the winery. Well respected winemaker “Pepe” Gomez who is one of the most talented winemakers in the country. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months with a further ageing of 6 months in the bottle. An intense wine, deep in red fruit flavours with a gentle hint of vanilla and coffee. It has excellent structure, balance and a good long finish. The wine is the perfect pairing with roasted red meats, pasta, semi and hard cheeses and cold smoked meats. A great Malbec.
