The superb Bollinger House was established in 1829 by Jacques Bollinger and to this day is still family-owned.  Benefitting from ownership of 180 hectares of vineyards in the finest Premier and Grand Champagne Bollinger wines are defined as much by the vines the grapes come from, as by the blending process, or the House’s century-old barrels in which the wines mature. This Grand Marque only use exceptional harvests for their vintage Champagne, and 2014 was one of them. The Grand Année typifies the traditional expertise used at Bollinger. The wine is vinified in small oak barrels and spends twice the amount of time required in the cellar for this appellation.  The grapes for the 2014 La Grande Année come from 19 crus: mainly Aÿ and Verzenay for the 61% Pinot Noir and Chouilly and Oiry for the 39% Chardonnay.

La Grande Année 2014 is the perfect champagne for lamb, Langoustine ravioli or foie gras. Also delicious with Mediterranean fish. Best served between 8 and 10°C. Ready to enjoy now but will age well in the cellar for up to 15 years.
