Champagne Joseph Perrier Brut Vintage 2012, Chalons-en-Champagne, Champagne, France
This wonderful Champagne House was founded in 1825, Joseph Perrier has been owned and run by the same family since 1888, currently in its 5th generation. This is the house style which is fruity with a fine and long refreshing finish. The name ‘Cuvée Royale’ celebrates the elegance and history of cuvées once supplied to HRH Queen Victoria and King Edward VII in years gone by. The royal connections with this prestigious house have remained strong throughout its continued history. A superb blend of 50% Chardonnay, 41% Pinot Noir and 9% Pinot Meunier with 6 years of ageing, this champagne has a bouquet of pure white stone fruit (pears, apricots) leading to a richly textured palate with exotic citrus flavours and a hint of brioche.
