Dom Rafael Red, Alentejo, Portugal

Alentejo is a wine region that ensures consistency and produces great wines. This winery dates back to 1901 and although the family lost some of their land in the 1974 revolution, the estate was kept intact. Dom Rafael Red is aged in Portuguese and French oak barrels for 12 months, after which is then aged for at least 6 months in bottle. This is a very smooth, complex and balanced wine. It is very versatile and can accompany a wide range of dishes. Certainly worth a try!
