The Pulenta Family has been linked to Argentine viticulture for four generations. The children of the winemaker Antonio Pulenta and descendants of Italian immigrants, Eduardo and Hugo Pulenta who arrived from Italy in 1902, and have been making wine since 1912, gave birth to the Pulenta Estate in 2002, to celebrate the family’s arrival in Argentina 100 years before, bringing experience and the most skilled workforce. Eduardo (son) and Diego Pulenta, are part of the 4th generation that help run this family estate. At present, we adapt to the new paradigms that our consumers require.
The estate consists of two vineyards located in key areas of Mendoza: Finca La Zulema in Agrelo and Viñedos Don Antonio in Los Arboles, a district of the Uco Valley. These contrasting vineyards have complex alluvial soils and distinct altitudes which, when blended, help give Pulenta wines their distinctive style. The grapes come from the Finca La Zulema vineyard in Agrelo which was planted in 1882 at an altitude of 840m. The grapes were harvested by hand.
An easy drinking wine that pairs exceptionally well with seafood dishes such as grilled prawns or sea bass, and can also be enjoyed on its own as an aperitif.
